UK Town of Culture 2028 postcard
Funny timing: this week, the UK Town of Culture asked every bidding town to send in a postcard capturing the spirit of their place. We’ve kind of already done that.
Our recent exhibition, Postcards To/From St Neots: A Community in 100 Small Stories, brought together over 100 postcard-sized artworks at St Neots Museum, made by residents, artists, and young people from across the town, including pupils from Crosshall Infant School and Eynesbury’s creative club. Curated by Jen Nesbitt, it captured exactly what we’re trying to show the rest of the country: that St Neots has a creative heart that shows up in everything we do.
It feels like good proof that this town already knows how to tell its own story and that’s what our UK Town of Culture 2028 bid is built on.
To reflect creativity and community in St Neots, we’ve chosen this artwork by local creative Georgina Westley, who submitted this beautiful painting of St Neots Festival.
