Projects
We provide PechaKucha Nights, film nights, pop-up shops, public art and an annual free-to-attend two-day festival of art, music and creative activities. Check out our past events and collaborations below. We encourage young people, newcomers to the area and long-term residents to come together, get involved in activities and see a positive future in the town, with viable job opportunities and a stimulating environment in which to live, work and have fun.

Connecting Cambridgeshire
St Neots has an opportunity to become one of the UK’s first smart market towns and lead the way for other market towns in Cambridgeshire.

In June 2018, property developer Urban&Civic approached Neotists to provide a workshop as part of an outdoor cinema event at Alconbury Weald

Music in the Museum
We held our first musical event in July, called Music at the Museum. St Neots Museum kindly agreed to host the event and our first band was harmony-driven folk duo Paul Creane and Paula Cox

Following the success of our first pop-up shop in November 2017 we were again given the opportunity to use an empty shop

St Neots Masterplan
Neotist co-founder, Richard Slade was asked to visualise some of the key projects for the steering group to help them start discussions about these projects in more detail.

We were delighted when the new owners contacted us to ask if we knew of anyone who could use the downstairs shop as they didn't need it.

Data visualisation: A crime map of Cambridgeshire
A project by one of our members to capture crime figures in the county and projecting them on to a map, by council ward, using an online tool.

St Neots Film Festival
Our film festival hosted by the local cinema ran for three years from 2016 with entires from regional filmmakers and local residents.

Fantastical blitz day
Neotists members and the St Neots Museum teamed up with Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination for their first Fantastical Blitz Day.

PechaKucha St Neots
PechaKucha St Neots started in 2015 and has featured a wide range of speakers from many different disciplines including science, art, design, photography, fashion, architecture, mental health and sport.

Meetups for St Neots creatives
We hold regular meetups for St Neots creatives where members can meet each other and network.

Love’s Farm House gallery
Our aim is to support local creatives in the St Neots and Huntingdon area and part of how we achieve this is by offering artists, photographers and designers a space to exhibit their work at a local community centre

The Big Draw
We've hosted The Big Draw three times in St Neots, the first on in 2014 in Barford Road Pocket Park.

St Neots film club
St Neots Film Club shows independent films from niche directors to a local audience, with the opportunity for discussion once the film has finished.

Chubby Wax Crayons
Chubby Wax Crayons is a project by artist Paul Muir and is a collection of work produced over a three year period whilst visiting a psychoanalyst.

St Neots Jelly
St Neots Jelly is a casual co-working event, where freelancers, home workers and people running small businesses meet up in order to get out of their normal space

Life drawing
The St Neots life drawing class was held at Love's Farm House on the first Sunday of the month and led by artist Stephen Molyneaux until the classes finished in 2020.

Records and Wreaths
Records and Wreaths is a workshop created by Neotist, Clair Slade around a simple idea – decorate your own Christmas wreath whilst listening to your favourite vinyl record.
