St Neots Festival wins EAFN Festivals of the Year Awards 2023
We are delighted to announce that the music festival we produced last year has been awarded Festival of the Year by the East Anglian Festival Network (EAFN). We won first place in Cambridgeshire and came second overall in East Anglia. We narrowly missed the top spot, which went to the essex-based Anti Loo Roll Festival.
There were five awards up for grabs and with over 750 events, festivals and fairs to chose from we had our work cut out. Over 5,000 people voted across the region and so we are very appreciative of the support for St Neots Festival, especially give that this was our first year and we had never organised an event of this scale before.
The EAFN Festival Awards started as a bit of fun through the Gigs Out when the EAFN was being developed in 2016 with hundreds of votes from gig-goers in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. After the launch of the EAFN in 2018 the awards became more popular and several thousand vote each year. The results are broadcast on local BBC Radio across the region and trophies (The Mics) are presented at the EAFN Show.
