Pedestrian and cycle bridge

Neotists co-founder Richard Slade was invited to sit on the St Neots Masterplan steering group and provide a voice for the creative community in the town. This role has been pivotal for various projects including the new pedestrian and cycle bridge that will be built, starting in October 2020.

The bridge was identified as a major opportunity in the St Neots Masterplan and has been prioritised as part of the Combined Authority’s Priority Transport Schemes. As part of this process, the bridge has been evaluated through the Combined Authority’s infrastructure funding criteria and is therefore included as part of the infrastructure programme.

This new bridge plays a key role in the Masterplan and the scheme has been combined with another Masterplan recommendation to create a more attractive riverside park. This wider scheme will now play a key role in linking Market Square with the riverfront.
