Emily Jolley is an abstract artist whose main focus is painting incorporating emulsion paints. Her work is influenced by modernism, including abstract expressionism, as well as artists that reference minimalism such as Eva Hesse. Recent work includes direct references to natural forms from the Cambridgeshire landscape. Emily studied fine art painting at Bath Spa University, graduating with a first. Prior to this, she achieved distinction at Manchester Metropolitan University’s art foundation year. Since graduating Emily established a successful career in business development, returning to painting and showing her work in 2016.
