Lisa Kreckeler

Fine Artist

Lisa has been painting for nine years and mastering oil painting for seven years, her background mainly being self-taught with the help of a BA fine art course where she learnt how to develop a style and confidence in the studio. Working on the university exhibit by helping to select an exhibit space, promoting it on social media and being a key part of the university by also working in the careers service and being a voice for the creative students. During university she bravely decided to approach her work from an art therapy basis in order to cope with her childhood trauma, this childhood has made it so she is an activist for mental health awareness, the planet, and domestic/sexual abuse survivors. Taking inspiration from the psychedelic era and combining them with realism and abstract style.

Looking at the female form, nature and self-reflection she has developed a style which creates colourful and detailed paintings with an emotional tether that can bring the viewer some relatability and release.
